My Grammy was the kindest, sweetest, most selfless person I have ever known. She was the foundation of our family and had a giant impact on all our lives. Grammy spent much of her life working and caring for her family. She wasn't a big traveler, and prefered to stay near home and see her family as often as possible. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday and she loved having everyone come to her house for the day or weekend. She would have had everyone at her home every weekend if she could have. Her love for all of us was a safe place. We knew it was always there. Grammy was also dedicated to her churches. In many of her churches, her and Grandad took on responsibilities helping. Grandad would be an elder or a song leader and she would help with food, newsletters, or helping people at home or in need. She had seen many changes in her 99 years of life, but she really never seemed to be too impressed by them. Improvements in cars, the space race, TV, internet, microwaves were just things. She was more interested in what her children and their families were doing. We were all so incredibly lucky that she was ours and we had so many years to enjoy her love. Say hello to Grandad for us. We love you both forever. Joey
