Robert “Bob” Hoffmann Gavrel

Robert “Bob” Hoffmann Gavrel, 67, left us unexpectedly doing one of the things he loved most, riding his Harley Davidson, on Monday, February 8, 2021.

Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home.

Service:  A Celebration of Life will commence at 4:00 p.m. in Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Bob was born March 23, 1953, in Ft Worth, Texas to parents, Mary Katherine and Gus Gavrel, Sr.  He attended Ridglea Hills Elementary, Monnig Middle School and graduated from Arlington
Heights High School in 1972.  A little over a decade later, he moved Parker County where he bought land and would reside there the remainder of his life.

Bob loved being outdoors on his farm taking care of his animals, spending hours on the lake on his many jet boats, and he had a life-long passion for creating and building his own things.  This includes his own home furnishings, a carport, horse arenas, dog pens, BBQ and burns pits, many barns and most impressive of all, his own custom log cabin all from the ground up.

In 1986, Bob’s first child, Clinton Wayne was born and a 18 months later his second, Buck Hoffmann would join his family.  He would raise the boys on the same property that he bought and developed over the next several years with his wife at the time, Benita.  During this time, he would teach them all of the ins and outs about guns, bow and arrows, dirt bikes, four wheelers and tractors.  Additionally, they would learn an abundance on the country living lifestyle in the hot Texas Summers and frigid Winter seasons the state had to offer.

Bob’s most recent career journey took place in the home building industry, where he would earn multiple awards and recognition across Tarrant County and up to state level achievements.  He gained many friendships and lifetime connections while working amongst this trade.

He always enjoyed physical activities and had an extremely strong work ethic.  From kayaking to canoeing, and from hiking to riding his Harley whenever he got a chance, he always lived
life to the fullest and tried to have no regrets when it was his time to leave this life.  Lastly, all throughout his life Bob would go by many nick names given to him by friends and family: “Bob,” “Bobby,” “Buzzard,” and “The Old Man” will be deeply missed.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Katherine; father, Gus James Gavrel, Sr; his younger brothers Gus “Bubba” James Gavrel, Jr. and Carl Gavrel.

Survivors: Bob is survived by his two sons, Clinton “Bo” Wayne Gavrel and his wife, Amanda,  and Buck Hoffmann Gavrel; his sister-in-law, Beverly Gavrel; grandchildren, Allyssa Renee, Brendon Rider and Abygail Rae Gavrel; his nephew, Colt Gavrel; his niece, Katie Gavrel; along with a list of numerous cousins and countless friends.
