GRANBURY — Jimmy Bacon, 67, passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, in Granbury.
Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Granbury.
Memorials: VFW or American Legion.
Jimmy was born July 8, 1948, in Burnsville, Miss., to A.H. and Edith Odom Bacon. He married Nelda Jean Wiley on April 9, 1981, in Arlington. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a lab engineer for Vought Aircraft for 20 years. Jimmy was an avid golfer and a member of Harbor Lakes Country Club. He was a family man who loved his family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Bonnie Goins; and a brother, Mike Vojtsek.
Survivors: Wife, Nelda Bacon of Granbury; children, Jimmy Bacon Jr. and wife, Robbin, of Caribou, Maine, Melanie Milburn Kennedy of Arlington and Chris J. Bacon of Granbury; grandchildren, Madison Bacon, Graysen Bacon and Nevaeh McGuire; brothers, Don Bacon and wife, Marti, of Midlothian and Jack Bacon and wife, Kay, of Arlington; brother-in-law, Cecil Goins of Granbury; and a number of nieces and nephews.
