Alice Louise Barnett Swain, 80, formerly of Stephenville, passed from this life on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Visitation is Wednesday 6-8pm at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury
Funeral service is Thursday 11 am at Elm Grove Assembly of God in Tolar.
Burial will be at Rock Church cemetery in Tolar.
Alice was born July 21, 1936 in Fort Worth, TX, the only daughter of Rev. Cecil and Edmonia Barnett. She married Carroll “Buddy” Swain, the love of her life on January 27, 1956. She taught at Stephenville ISD and retired in 2007.
Preceding her in death are her loving husband Carroll, her parents and 3 brothers, son Charles, granddaughters Carissa and Tabitha.
Surviving her are her children, Cynthia Hall and husband Jerry, Carroll Swain Jr. and wife Sandi, Cheryl Williams and husband Bruce, Charlotte Daniel and husband Philip, Carey Swain and wife Alatha. Special sons Antti Vasku and wife Sari, Alejandro Mojica and wife Angela, Oscar Gallego and wife Patti. Grandchildren, Heather Johnston, Nathaniel McCarty, October Swain, Michelle Atwood, Jennifer Martinez, Lexie Williams, Josh Ellen, Daniel Ellen, Tim Ellen, Brittany Downey, Cara Swain, Bethany Nelson, Carey Lynn Swain Jr., 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Many nieces, nephews and close friends.
