Safely Home. "I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last...There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand; Do it now, while life remaineth, you shall rest in Jesus' land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come! One last long and slow salute to honor a fellow Veteran, Patriot, Christian Soldier, Husband to Christine and Father of my life long Best Friend. RIP Al, I know you're in God's hands now. Some of my favorite memories of my dad are of my dad teaching me, my sister, and my brother to fish on the banks of many creeks, streams, and lakes throughout the country. Dad bought all three of us cane poles complete with bobbers that would be pulled under the water as soon as you had a "bite", meaning a fish took the hook. Dad had endless, loving patience as he was an avid angler fishing at every opportunity and loved nothing more than the company of his three devoted students for which our mom was very grateful. Thanks to dad I've enjoyed the peaceful calm of casting a line from the banks of many creeks, streams and lakes after graduating from my cane pole. Thanks dad and I hope you're catching the big ones in Heaven.

Growing up I always thought Uncle Al was so cool. He had an Elvis coal black hairstyle all slicked back. He had a real deep voice too that kind of made me feel like I had done something wrong when I hadn’t! Aunt Chris was so pretty to. They were a handsome couple and I loved to see them “jitterbug” at family reunions. We grew up in a very large extended family and had many family gatherings and that was a great part of my childhood. I miss those days. I miss the people we have lost.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

So many great memories of a great man and wonderful father. On of my favorites was watching dad and mom dance at my wedding. I love you, Dad
