Andrew Payne, 61, passed away May 25, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas. Lie in state will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 1pm until 7pm at Wiley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2022 at 11am at Acton Baptist Church. Burial will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 1pm at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia, New Mexico.

 

Andrew was born October 19, 1960 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Grover Arnold Payne and Allie Nell Miller. Andrew received his Ph. D. in New Testament Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and was a pastor and professor at Dallas Baptist University.

 

Andrew is preceded in death by his parents.

 

Andrew is survived by his wife: Cindy Payne; son: Geoff Payne and wife Brittany; daughter: Anna Payne; grandchildren: Grey Payne, Finn Payne, Evelyn Payne; brothers: John Payne, Eddie Payne and wife Beverly; sister-in-law: Cathy McCord; nieces: Angela Marlar, Amy Loudermilk, Alex Baker; and extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Dallas Baptist University for the Mary Crowley College of Christian Faith at DBU.edu/give.
