Prof. Leondar was a great teacher and supporter of the art students at Tarrant County Junior College. I took his art history course and several other courses from him, and was inspired by his commitment to art education. He was a positive influence in my life and encouraged me to continue my art education. I will always remember him fondly.

As a little girl in Midland I had the privilege of taking a drawing and pastel class from Mr. Leonard. My Mom, Edith Aiken, Dr. Rehus Penn's nurse, was a good friend. That summer class had a lifelong impact on me. As an adult I began to paint and find this my greatest joy and expression of my creative side. I have lived in Aledo for 48 years and knew he lived near. I know Brent Sauble from Trinity Christian Academy (another fine young man). I consider myself blessed to had time with him, he sparked a flame in me that has brought me great pleasure. My Mom thought so much of him and his family. Prayers for you, he was a special man.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Arnold was a gem of a man. I will always remember the Sunday school classes he taught us and most importantly his love of the arts. I was always called him "Art" Leondar when I was much younger. It took many years to finally call him by his proper name. He will always be "Art" in my heart. Much love to you all.
