LIPAN — Arthur “A.J.” Roberts, 84, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 in Amarillo.

A.J. was born March 2, 1931 in Acme, TX to James A. and Stella Ray Roberts. He married Mildred Renner in 1958 in Groom, TX. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953, stationed in Germany, then served in the reserves for three years. A.J. owned and operated Santo Propane and farmed for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2004; his parents; and brothers, “J.C.” Roberts and Jack Roberts.
Survivors: Sons, Leon & wife, Deannie Roberts of Amarillo, Ricky Roberts of Oklahoma City, Roland & wife, Sharon Renner of Hico; daughters, Rene & husband, Skiddy Skidmore of Joshua, Twla & husband, Chris Gibson of Mesa, Az; brother, Bob & wife, Marsha Roberts of Lipan; sisters, Patsy & husband, Billy Branch of Comanche, Evelyn Webb of Amarillo and Hazel Lack of Houma, LA; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
