Autry was one of my residents that I took care of at Waterview . He was very stubborn and set in his ways, if it wasn't done right he would sure tell you. He was such an astonishing man I enjoyed talking to him everyday that I went into work. He would tell me all kinds of stories about his childhood, his wife and family! One of the thigs he told me everyday was that he would put my boyfriend in his place if he ever did anything to make me mad or Autry mad. I mention this because it showed me how caring he was about not only me but the things going on in my life. At night before I got him ready for bed we would play trashcan games or just sit and talk about anything and everything. He would show me pictures and talk about what his life was like in those moments. Friday's we would take our guess on who would win the game that was playing over the weekend ( of course his was always Baylor ) and Monday when I'd come in he would tell me about the game and who won. He had a huge impact on me and I will always cherish the time I got to spend with him. I will miss him and I will always have him and his wonderful family in my thoughts and prayers.
