MEMORIAL SERVICE

Barbara Ann Ballenger, 93, of Granbury, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Quail Park Great Room, Granbury Texas.

Barbara was born September 5, 1925 in Lufkin, Texas to John and Lula Ann Bennett. She met Dewey Ballenger, Jr. when she was distributing gas coupons during WWII; two weeks later they married. It was love at first sight. Barbara enjoyed traveling, reading, and cooking. She was a great supportive partner to Dewey when together they owned a Baskin Robbins. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings and her grandson, Chad Stovall.

Survivors: her husband of almost 74 years, Dewey Ballenger, Jr.; children, Luann Stovall, Dewey Ballenger, III and his wife Linda; grandchildren, Holly Stovall and her husband Tom Sadler, Ryan Ballenger, Coy Ballenger and his wife Hailey, Christopher Ballenger and his wife Tasha; great- grandchildren, Maya Stovall, Matthew Sadler, Kaitlyn Seaux, Olivia Ballenger, Posey Ballenger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
