Barry Lee Smyser, age 75, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Barry was born on July 1, 1940, in Bolling Springs, Pennsylvania to Raymond A. Smyser and Gladys Miller. After meeting his wife, Audrey Reid, on a blind date, they were married on Dec. 2, 1961.
Barry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. After his service in the military he became a flight line mechanic for Bell Helicopter. He also raised llama, cattle and pigmy goats. Anything the grandkids did, Barry was there. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Smyser; and brothers, Eddy and Nile.
Survivors: wife, Audrey Smyser; son, John and wife, Nicki Smyser; daughter, Julie Hall and husband, Mark; six grandkids, Cameron and Jordan Smyser, Taylor and Tanner Tompkins and Austin and Nathan Hall; brother, Bob and wife, Marion Smyser; sister, Gwynn Sorrentino; and numerous nieces and nephews.
