Ben R. “Ray” Ludwig, 79, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ben had retired after 50 years as an aviation mechanic at Broadies Aircraft, Meacham Field. He had retired with multiple awards, the most recent being the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Ludwig; son, Ben Raymond Ludwig II and wife, Sandra; daughter, Angela Ludwig; brother, Melvyn Ludwig; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
