TOLAR — Bessie Elenora Pearce, 86, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, in Glen Rose.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: Post Oak Cemetery in Somervell County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Pearce was born Mar. 23, 1927, in Cleburne, to David Walter Cox and Thonetta Strand Cox. She married Nelvie Robert Pearce, July 27, 1946, in Fort Worth. She worked as a waitress in California for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nelvie Robert Pearce in 1982, son, James Robert Pearce, Sr. in 1996, daughter, Jannelle Pearce in 1952, brothers, K.D. Cox, Bill Cox, James Cox, Junior Cox, John Cox, and sisters, Minnie Jones, Millie Harkins, Myrtle Riley.
Survivors: Son, Jerry Pearce and wife, Kathy, of Tolar; grandchildren, James Robert Pearce, Jr. of Cresson, Nicholas Pearce of Tolar, Tammy Pearce McClelen of Glen Rose; sister, Jo Ann Palmer of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces nephews and extended family.
