Betty Lou “Maw Maw” Gibler Pruitt

GRANBURY — Betty Lou “Maw Maw” Gibler Pruitt, 89, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 in Granbury. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Tuesday in Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Betty was born May 2, 1925 in Thompson, Missouri to Clifford and Hanna Schnedeker Gibler. She married Travis Warren “T.W.” Pruitt on June 3, 1945 in Waxahachie. She was a nursing home administrator and a member of Western Hills Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 30, 2003; a daughter, Carol Armstrong and a granddaughter, Jenny Armstrong.
Survivors: Daughters, Judy Griffith and husband, Gerry of Granbury and Lisa Williamson and Johney Dupree of Cleburne; grandchildren, Melissa Armstrong, Travis Lee Griffith and wife, Sean, Terry Lynn Griffith, Jenifer Williamson Hattaway and husband, Brandon and Justin Daron Williamson and wife, Amanda;11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sisters, Catherine Jones of Moberly, Missouri, Mary E. Roberts and husband, Elbert of Higginsville, Missouri; brother, Fred Gibler and wife, Yvette of Higbee, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.
