GRANBURY — Betty Ruth Hamilton, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Granbury.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at Acton Baptist Church.
Burial: 4 p.m. Friday in Electra Memorial Park Cemetery in Electra, Texas.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Betty was born Mar. 10, 1931, in Fannin County, Texas, to James Robert Montgomery and Lottie Ruth Hampton Montgomery. She married R.D. Hamilton, Mar. 26, 1948, in Wichita Falls. She and R.D. lived in Wichita Falls, moved to Electra in 1968 where she owned and operated “Betty’s Beauty Shop”, and they moved to Granbury in 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on March 27, 1994; brothers, James Glen Montgomery and John “Cowboy” Montgomery; and sister, Mary Litteken Lazenby.
Survivors: Daughter, Jana S. Thompson and husband, Joe, of Granbury; granddaughter, Krystal Bradford and husband, Neal, of Fort Worth; grandson, Joe Paul Thompson and wife, Traci, of Granbury; great grandchildren, Bailey Kate Thompson of Granbury, Nicolas Edward Bradford of Fort Worth, Molly Jo Thompson of Granbury, Maci Brandon of Granbury and Alyssa Brandon of Granbury.
