Beula Faye Joyner Ballard went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2016. Beula was 91. Memorial: 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at North Side Baptist Church, Weatherford, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Side Baptist Church, Weatherford, Texas for Homebound ministries or missions.
Beula was born to Nathan Joyner and Annie Dunn on September 10, 1925 in Dudley, Texas. She married Buck Ballard in California on March 28, 1944, before moving to Brownfield where they ran a service station. Eventually moving to a ranch outside of Roswell, New Mexico When Buck passed, she moved to Fort Worth. Beula worked as a phone operator for Tandy Corp. in Fort Worth before retiring to Granbury, where she lived for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. M. Buck Ballard, son, Claude Asa Butch Ballard and three great granddaughters.
Beula is survived by sons: Jimmy Ballard and wife Sarah, Jerry Ballard and wife Barbara, daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Ballard, sisters: Beatrice Reynolds, Mildred Hampton, and Jolene Frugia, grandchildren: Tammy, Clay, Jerry, Charity, Candice, Julie, Billy, Robin, Garrett, Rita, and Opal, 12 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
