Bill Harmon, 83, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Services at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Bill’s name.
Bill was born on November 13, 1933 in Idalou, Texas to James and Ora Harmon. He married Donna Gerding on April 12, 1953 in Dunsmuir, California. Bill built the family home. Bird watching on the chigger ranch was one of his favorite things to do. He loved cats and genealogy. Starting in the 1970’s, family vacations revolved around family history.
Bill was an avid reader, movie buff, movie critic and a writer of film scripts. He owned a vast library of movies that he checked out to family. He was the owner and videographer of Zuleka Productions. He was known for his DVD’s of train routes and runs.
Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years: Donna Harmon, children: Betty Lowry and husband Cal, Jolene White, Kathleen Harmon and husband Dallas, Bill Harmon and wife Kassandra, DeAnn Laughlin and husband Craig, 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brothers: James Robert Harmon and Jerry Harmon and wife Nancy, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
