Billy “Bill” Stewart, 81, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, at First Baptist Church of Castle Hills in Azle. Committal with military honors will be at 2:15 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Azle. He was a deacon for First Baptist of Castle Hills for 58 years. He worked for Texas Reconstruction for 22 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Oma Nell Stewart.

Survivors include his children, Gary and Mary Stewart of Fort Worth, Tim and Sheri Stewart of Azle, Stephanie and Mike Baker of Trophy Club, and Stephen and Ronnette Stewart of Azle; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
