GRANBURY — Billy Joe Jones, Sr., 88, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Granbury.

Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Granbury.

Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

Memorials: Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Bill was born Aug. 4, 1926 in Gunter to Joe Willard and Mary Belle Morris Jones. He married Jene Arnett on Aug. 1, 2009 in Granbury. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Dexter Corp. as a communications sales engineer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Granbury Masonic Lodge #392. Bill was a loving husband, father and a great man. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sharon Ann Jaquess and his first wife, Florence Lee Jones.
Survivors: Wife, Jene McMeans; children, John D. Patella, Patricia Loggins and husband, Doug and Billy Joe Jones, Jr. and wife, Paula; grandchildren and spouses, Wendy and Tommy Simmons, Kelly and Preston Dudley, T J and Jennifer White, Danny and Kelly Jaquess, Will and Tonya Jaquess and Kira and Justin Rice; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Linda and husband, Johnny Sanderson; brother-in-law, John H. Lewis; sister-in-law, Margaret Louise Ray; and step-son, Fred McMeans, Jr. and wife, Robbie and their family.
