GRANBURY — Blanche Lee Newman, 103, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Granbury First Baptist Church. Burial: Fairview Cemetery in Hood County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Newman was born Sept. 20, 1911, in Hood County, to Joseph Henry Hamilton and Martha Alice Barton Hamilton. She married Clovis Clinton Newman, Sept. 2, 1942, in Granbury. She was a graduate of Granbury High School and worked as a vocational nurse for 20 plus years. She also served as Hood County Treasurer for 8 years. She was a member of Granbury First Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brother and sisters.
Survivors: Niece, Sandra Mott and husband, Arnold; nephews, B.J. Wallace and wife, Barbara, Charles Wallace and wife, Carolyn; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; and great great great nieces and nephews.
