Barbara Tilley, fondly known by everyone as Bobbie passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was surrounded by her children who love her dearly.
Bobbie was born on June 30, 1947 in Hopkinsville Kentucky to James Lloyd Lytle and Edna Ruth (Laster) Lytle.
Bobbie married Larry Gene Tilley on July 1, 1964. Although Bobbie and Larry divorced in 1982, they remained wonderful friends for the rest of her life.
Bobbie and Larry raised their children in Knoxville, Arkansas near the family’s home town of Lamar, Arkansas until Bobbie and her family moved to Granbury, Texas in 1980.
She worked as a CNA for a few years. She began a career in the Grocery Business in 1984 and continued until her retirement from Brookshire Grocery Company in 2010.
In life Bobbie enjoyed crazy fun times with her many friends. She loved dancing, shopping and times of fellowship with all her family and friends. Bobbie loved her adventures at Canton with her daughters and granddaughter.
Bobbie loved Life and in doing so she acquired several funny nicknames which included Miss Daisy, Mommy Chicken, and Banty Rooster.
As her children, our hearts are broken with mourning; but we also rejoice that our Mother is walking the streets of Gold and sitting with her Lord and Savior.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter Heidi Tilley Hicks and her husband Eddie Hicks of Azle, Texas, her daughter Christy Tilley of Ozark, Arkansas, her son Shanon Tilley and his wife Stacey of Lamar, Arkansas, her Daughter Amanda Tilley Harris and her husband Ronald Harris of Watauga, Texas, and her daughter Callie Tilley Bradley and her husband Jeff Bradley of Dublin, Texas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
