TOLAR — Bobby Coggins, 59, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Fort Worth. Memorial Service: 2 pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Tolar. Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice in memory of Bobby.

Bobby was born in Weatherford to Lowell and Josie Coggins on September 20, 1956. He graduated from Weatherford High School and Texas A&M class of 1980, where he achieved many awards as a competition pistol expert. Bobby married the love of his life, Karla Kinson on August 31, 1985 in Tolar. He worked as a Customer Service Technician for AT&T for 31 + years recently retiring. He was a Chief Union Steward for Communications Workers of America Local 6201in Fort Worth. Bobby was involved in the National Rifle Association and the Hood County Livestock Raisers Association. He was an avid professional gunsmith, recently opening his own business as Coggins Gunsmithing.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Coggins and in-laws, D.J. and Joe Kinson.

Survivors: Wife, Karla; son, James; mother, Josie Coggins; sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Tim Goolsby and their families.

The family of Bobby wish to extend their sincere thanks to his extended family at AT&T and CWA.

I had the pleasure of becoming friends with Bobby in the Weatherford High School Band while playing the sousaphone, due to much encouragement from Bobby, I became the president of the 1975 Weatherford High School Band. Bobby always served as a good model for all to emulate and was truly a credit to his parents. I will keep the Coggins family in my prayers, especially during this difficult time of bereavement.
