Bonnie Jean McNeill Lee, wife of CMSGT Roy David Lee, USAF, Ret. went to be with her Saviour and Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2022.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Baptist Church – 1501 Jim Wright Fwy N, Fort Worth, TX 76108 on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2pm.
Interment will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Memorial donations/in lieu of flowers may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
She was born April 9, 1947 in San Antonio, TX to John Leonard McNeill and Esther Jean Beerli McNeill. Bonnie graduated from Canyon High School and went on to have a long career in banking, retiring as a Bank Operations Manager/Officer. Following in her husband’s footsteps, Bonnie earned her private pilot rating and flew all over the U.S. She also enjoyed travelling with her husband, visiting six of the seven continents.
Bonnie enjoyed good health until she needed a kidney transplant, which she received from her sister, Wendy in 2010.
Bonnie is survived by Roy D. Lee her husband of 41 years, three sisters and one brother: Pat Nickerson, her spouse Tim, and son Chris McNeill; Nancy Rowan, her spouse Donny, their children and grandchildren; Wendy Sweazea and her spouse Jim. Rick McNeill, his spouse Karen, his children and grandchildren. She is also survived by three children: Natasha Peavy, Michele Mareiro and spouse Dennis, and Roy D. Lee, Jr. and spouse Shari; eight grandchildren: Sierra, Miranda, Autumn, Craig, Jesse, Nichole, Summerhaze and Samuel; and twelve great grandchildren: Daxton, Jaxon, Ashton, Alexia, Jayden, London, Asher, Alea, Adysen, Aidan, Arianna and Ashtyn.
Bonnie was a special lady who loved her friends and family. She made friends everywhere she went. She was a blessing and lent a helping hand to everyone she knew.
