Brenda Gail Latham

Brenda G. Latham, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Granbury, TX, with her husband and children by her side.  Brenda was the only child born to Leslie & Etta Davenport in Bronx, NY.  She met the love of her life through pen pal letters arranged by her future brother-in-law.  Two weeks after meeting face to face, Sid Latham proposed and they were engaged, being married just months later. Highlights of Brenda’s life included moving almost completely across the country from the big city of Patterson, NJ to a ranch outside the Grand Canyon in Arizona, having 3 beautiful children, 8 wonderful grandchildren and finishing her working career as a Curriculum Analyst for Mohave Community College in Kingman, AZ.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Sidney Latham, her daughter Susan Wood & son-in-law Ronnie Wood, daughter Shanin Shelton & son-in-law Eric Shelton, grandchildren, Patricia Latham, Kai Wood, Travis Latham, Jeremy Latham, Brianna Shelton, Colby Wood, Natalie Shelton & Alexsia Shelton.   Brenda was predeceased by her parents, her youngest child William T. Latham and granddaughter Kassi Wood.

A celebration of life is planned for a future time.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Wounded Warriors Project or Fisher House Foundation in her name.
