I remember the sad call one night from Deborah. She found me in a distressed state, with my hubby in the hospital with no visitors allowed because of covid-19. I think she consoled me more than I consoled her! My hubby and I met Carol and Chuck on the dock at the Trinidad Yacht Club. Carol was so tall and willowy. Their boat was one of the few sailboats, like ours, without mechanical refrigeration. I organized twice weekly deliveries of block ice to the yacht club and Carol was a regular customer. They sailed west and later, from Texas, we corresponded via email. I always looked forward to Carol's emails. They were a source of great jokes, cartoons, and stories and photos about dogs, mostly pugs. Carol, we miss you! We send our heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends.

I worked with Carol for many years at PDX. She was not only a great coworker, but also a warm and wonderful friend. I remember her as someone who was always willing to stand up for what is right. The world is a bit dimmer place without her.

Carol was a good friend. We met in the Rio Dulce of Guatemala. She encouraged us to get our Amateur Radio Licenses. He passing leaves a big hole in our lives.

Carol was always an exceptional person! We became friends during our “cruising/sail boating “ days. She was so helpful to me when I was working towards my extra level ham radio license while visiting the Rio Dulce in Guatemala. As often happens, we went our separate ways, reconnecting when she had settled in Azle. We began a rich internet friendship and in 2010 I made my way toTexas for a visit. It wasn’t until 2018 that we met in person again when she came to visit me and other friends along her route. The visit was wonderful. That’s why I chose to post the picture of her as we visited the beautiful waterfalls herein SW North Carolina. I will miss her wit, her friendship, and our corresponding. Love you, Carol.
