TOLAR — Carol Ann (Neidholt) Leatherman was born on August 20, 1938 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Durward and Viola (Holevick) Neidholt. She received her promotion to heaven on July 23, 2015. She married W. L. (Dub) Leatherman on Valentine’s Day in 1959 and they had two children. Carol was raised in Fort Worth, attended school and graduated from Northside High School in 1956. She attended TCU and worked for Bell Helicopter and General Dynamics. She and her family moved to a farm in Tolar in 1970 and enjoyed staying busy with her children and their activities. She continued her education and graduated from Tarleton State University in 1976 with a degree in Elementary Education. She worked in Granbury for one year, taught K-4th at Three Way for one year and then was a special education teacher in Glen Rose for 20 years until her retirement in 1998. Carol enjoyed all family holidays, family vacations, bus tours and cruises. She enjoyed making and selling crafts. She was a charter member of the Home Extension Club in Tolar for many years. She was a member of Cedar Point Baptist Church where she played the piano, taught Sunday School and was involved in many other community activities;
Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dub; daughter Dana McCoy and husband John of Waco, son Terry Leatherman and wife Cindy of Tolar; four grandchildren, Meghan Moore and husband Jason of Fort Worth, Jay McCoy and wife Sierra of College Station, Holly and Abby Leatherman of Tolar; great-grandson, Jaxson McCoy; brother Bobby Neidholt and wife Elaine, sister, Dorothy Kossbeil and husband Ben.
The family would like to thank their many friends for all the love and support given over the last several months. They would also like to thank the Glen Rose Rehab Center, Glen Rose Nursing Home, Grace Hospice and her family doctor, Julia Hutchison and nursing staff for all the love and care they provided to Carol.

Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, july 25, 2015, at Tolar Baptist Church.
Burial: Tolar Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
