Carolyn Franke passed away on July 25 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Carolyn was born on October 27, 1937 in Utica, New York to Leroy and Irene Rader. She married Fred (Rick) August Franke, Jr. on October 17, 1970 in Statesburg, South Carolina.
Carolyn was an ardent supporter of America and our military having served as a Contracting Officer for the Department of Defense for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lon Roy Burks.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 48 years, Fred (Rick) Franke and three daughters – Tracy Criddle and husband Joel of Edgecliff Village, TX; Terri Fisher and husband Rex of Rexburg, ID; and Kimberly Burks of Granbury, TX, granddaughters – Stephanie Blackburn and husband Kaleb; and Emily Ambrosia and husband Jason and siblings – Millicent Rader Harris; John Rader; and Dick Rader and wife Barbara.
She will be interred in the National Cemetery in Grand Prairie at a later date.
