WILLOW PARK — Carroll “Buddy” Swain, 82, formerly of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, in Willow Park.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Generations Church in Granbury. Burial: Rock Church Cemetery in Hood County. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mr. Swain was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Tolar, to Barto and Irene Brown Swain. He married Alice Barnett, Jan. 27, 1956, in Fort Worth. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956 kuring the Korean War. Buddy was a commercial truck driver and retired from AMPI. Preceding him in death were his parents, son, Charles Swain, granddaughters, Carissa Swain, Tahitha Harkins.
Survivors: Alice Swain of Willow Park; children, Cynthia Hall and husband, Jerry, Carroll Swain, Jr. and wife, Sandi, Cheryl Williams and husband, Bruce, Charlotte Daniel and husband, Philip, Carey Swain and wife, Alatha; special sons, Alejandro Mojica and wife, Angela, Oscar Gallego and wife, Patti, Antti Vasku and wife, Sari; grandchildren, Heather Johnston, Nathaniel McCarty, October Swain, Michelle Atwood, Jennifer Martinez, Lexi Williams, Josh Ellen, Daniel Ellen, Tim Ellen, Brittany Downey, Cara Swain, Bethany Nelson, Carey Lynn Swain, Jr.; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Wells; many nieces and nephews.
