You brought so many music legends to your dances so the fans can learn who made this music. You carried on in the Bob Wills tradition like he taught you to do. You told fun stories and were a friend to all who truly loved Bob and this music. You were a wonderful friend to me, always in my heart. xo

Casey Dickens was inducted as a Living Legend into Cowtown Society of Western Music in May 2014.
Joyce Miller left a message on June 27, 2019:
My husband Gary Beaver and I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing Casey play drums with several different Western swing bands over the years, in Ft Worth and Turkey, Texas. One occasion in the late 90's he played at our night club in the Stockyards. He gave us the drummer's stool he used that night as a momentum. He was always very jovial and loved talking about his time spent with Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys. We also are Board Members of Cowtown Society of Western Music and inducted Casey into our Heroes of Western Swing as a Living Legend in May of 2014. He will be missed by his Western Swing family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Just heard of Casey's passing. We always enjoyed listening to his stories about playing with Bob Wills as his drummer. He was out neighbor at his house on Lake Palestine. He was a man of many talents, we were blest to have known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
