Cathy Geneva (Pierce) Wilson, 70 years of age from Azle, Texas, went in peace into the presence of the Lord on Friday September 17, 2021.
Please join us as we celebrate the beautiful life of Cathy Geneva (Pierce) Wilson on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11AM. Memorial Service will be held at Capstone Church – 4823 W. Loop 820 S. Benbrook, TX 76126
Cathy was born to John and Dorothy (Scalf) Pierce on August 7, 1951 in Albuquerque, NM were she graduated from Valley High School. Then Cathy went on to attended Western Apostolic Bible College in Stockton, CA where she met the love of her life Terol Lynn Wilson. Cathy and Terry married on June 12, 1971 in Albuquerque, NM. This new chapter in Cathy’s and Terry’s life lead them on a journey in their travel trailer together as evangelist ministering the gospel throughout many states from California to Texas. In her time in ministry, she loved singing and playing the piano beautifully with a song always in her heart.
In a little over a year, she was blessed with her first beautiful baby girl, Shawna Rachelle Wilson and four years later were blessed with her second beautiful bundle of joy, Krisha Dawn Wilson. After having the girls, alongside Terry, Cathy was a missionary on a Navajo Indian Reservation, where she helped pastor a church in Gallup, NM for many years before finally settling in Texas to raise their family. She was now a proud Texan.
Cathy later was also blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and more than anything she love to brag about them relentlessly. Her biggest joy in life came from her watching them all play laugh and accomplishing their dreams. She was a very proud Nonnie!
Cathy also enjoyed sipping her coffee on cool morning and watching Cardinals and other birds from her back porch. She also got excited about watching her Dallas Cowboys play on Sunday afternoons rooting louder than anyone in the room. She enjoyed relaxing at the beach, listening to the waves crash with loved ones by her side and taking vacations with her best friends who loved her dearly. She loved her date nights and trying new restaurants. She looooved shopping, she was quite the fashionista who specialized in leopard print. I mean she would wear leopard print not just on date nights but to church, to football games, to the grocery stores, to camping, to weddings, to aaaall the family events…she was a very stylish lady to say the least. In fact, she was infectious to where all the girls in the family love trying to copy her sassy style. We wouldn’t want her any other way, we loved her zest for life which touched and influenced us all and we will cherish her forever.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doroth;, sister, Marsha and grandson, Gatlyn.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years Terry; daughters, Shawna and Krisha, son-n-laws: Tommy and Vince.
Grandchildren: Blaine, Devany, Caylon, Ashlyn, Gage, Kyrsten, Remi, Landry, and Zaylynn.
Great-grandchildren: Sophia, Emery, Easton, Nora, Layton and Charlotte.
Sister: Andrea, brother: Johnny, brother-n-laws: Dwayne and Tom.
And many family and friends who love her.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
