RAINBOW — Charles A. “Charlie” Wirt, 65, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 in Glen Rose. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Monday in Nubbin Ridge Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral in Glen Rose. Memorials: Somervell County Cancer Support Group, P.O. Box 152, Glen Rose, Texas 76043
Charles was born April 5, 1948 in Glen Rose to Lloyd and Flora Medcalf Wirt. He was a member of the Glenview Church of Christ and attended Glen Rose schools. He enjoyed working on the farm, working with livestock, riding bicycles and horses and fishing and hunting. He loved playing outside with Nate and Sarah and hanging out with his nephew, John and his friends.
Survivors: Brother, Lloyd Wirt and wife, Mary Ruth of Rainbow; nephew, John David Wirt of Cleburne; very special granny, Wilma Ruth Cooper of Cleburne; and very special kids, Nate and Sarah Burgess.
