Charles “Brett” Noakes, 72, passed away, Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Brett was born March 16, 1949, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Charles Allen Noakes and Helen Louise Brown Noakes. He married Susan Kneupper in 1980 and they had two sons, Joshua Ryan and Jason Neal Noakes.
For most of his career Brett was an auto glass manager/owner. He worked construction, and in the oil and gas industry for a while. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching, and boating. There was a time when he was a semi pro archery expert. Brett loved to cook and barbeque whenever possible. He also enjoyed working on his model trains. He had a big heart and was very loving and generous.
Brett is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Noakes; granddaughters, Adeleida Sue and Viola Louise Noakes; and father-in-law, Reno Rudolph Kneupper.
Brett is survived by his wife, Susan Kneupper Noakes; sons, Joshua Ryan and Jason Neal Noakes; daughter-in-law, Piper (Kinchen) Noakes; grandson, Charlie Reno Noakes; sister, Cindy Laborde and husband Gary; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Kneupper; Brother-in-law, Scott Kneupper; Nephews, Eric Laborde and wife Stephanie, Jeffrey Laborde and wife Kristi and Derek Kneupper and wife Zena; nieces, Shawna Merrill and husband Michael, and Brandy Diaz and husband James.
No service is planned per Brett’s wishes. If you are so inclined and wish to make a donation to charity in Brett’s name, Brett and Susan support Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX, Shriner’s Hospital and St. Jude’s.
