David was born January 12, 1957 in Fort Worth to Charles and Donna Beard Massey. He was a Fort Worth Lieutenant firefighter for 31 years. He was a rancher and farmer. David enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and even better Papa. Vacations to the coast were his greatest joy. He loved cooking BBQ and having large parties.
David is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jane Massey; children, April Whitworth and fiancée, Robert, Shane Butler and wife, Angie, Amanda Rucka and husband, John, Meagon Massey; grandchildren, Ashten Kurtnick, Jayce Brown and wife, Bonnie, Parker Whitworth, Whitney Butler, Kynlee Butler, Landon Rucka, and Jett Rucka; great grandchild, Kennedi Brown; parents, Charles and Connie Massey; sister, Cheryl O’Rear and husband, Mike; brother, Calvin Massey and wife, Shanda; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family, Brad and Evella Turner and sons, Cole and Cade; Austin Marrs and wife, Randi and children, Jessie, Lane and Elijah; and Steve Nichols.
