Charles Barfield, 68, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, in Granbury.
Memorial service: 4:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Wiley Funeral Home.
Charles was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Lufkin, to Jessie and Katie Rodriquez Barfield. He married Carrie Wallace, Feb. 23, 1991, in Granbury. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Charles retired from TXU in 1999 after 27 years. He loved his job and enjoyed traveling. He had been a resident of Granbury for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors: Wife, Carrie Wallace Barfield of Granbury; father, Jessie Barfield and wife, Helen, of Houston; son, Heath Barfield and wife, Kerrie, of Springtown; daughter, Brenda Keeling and husband, Terry, of Mineral Wells; step-sons, John Wallace and wife, Deborah, of Weatherford, Casey Wallace and wife, Pam, of Acton, Rex Wallace and wife, Kathleen, of Acton; brothers, James Barfield and wife, Brenda, of Floresville, David Barfield and wife, Karen, of Conroe, Larry Barfield and wife, Connie, of Conroe, Robert Barfield and wife, Leann, of Livingston.

Uncle Charlie, I have many precious memories. I remember when you & Aunt Elke bought that acreage in Weatherford and moved that house on the property. Lots of Briar bush to walk thru. The camping trips to Colorodo with Granny Katie & Granpa Smitty. Of course, the hard time you gave my daughter Ellen. She enjoyed your "hard time".
