Charles L. Williams, 74, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home.
Friends are invited to join in a celebration of his life 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 19, at the Clubhouse in the Landing on Eagle Mountain Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tenn. 38148.
Charles was born December 11, 1939, in Clifton. He graduated from Waco High School and attended classes at both Abilene Christian College and Baylor University. He served in the Texas Army National Guard and had worked for IBM for over 30 years before his retirement.
A resident of Texas for most of his life, he enjoyed racing and
restoring cars, sailing, fixing anything and everything, golden retrievers “his children,” spending time with his friends at Eagle Mountain Lake, and time at his cabin in Colorado.
He is survived by his son, Christopher L. Williams of Austin; sister, Diane Wofford of Waco; and nephew, Wesley Wofford and wife, Kelley, of Austin.
