GRANBURY — C. Michael Shaw, 71, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 28, 2015, in Granbury.

Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Wiley Funeral Home.

Michael was born May 15, 1943, in Stamford, Texas, to Fred Moore Shaw and Thelma Martin Shaw. He married Sharon Humbert, Oct. 2, 1965, in Dallas. He had lived in Granbury since 1994. Michael retired as Vice President of Hough-Mifflan Publishing Co. He enjoyed writing music, playing guitar and working in his yard. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Fred Shaw, Jr., and sisters, Sue Ham and Dorothy Jean Shaw.

Survivors: Wife, Sharon Shaw of Granbury; son, Stephen Shaw and wife, Meredith, of Bedford; daughters, Melissa Alamo and husband, Joel, of Colo., Michelle Pawski and husband, Herb, of Bedford; grandchildren, Drew Alamo, Parker, Alamo; sisters, Virginia Davison and husband, Bert, of N.C., Bernelle Schmidt of Galveston, Chris Owens of New Orleans, La.; and brother, Jim Shaw of Midland.

I'm so very sorry to learn of Mike's passing. We're related on the Shaw side; my dad Jack Taylor was his first cousin.
