Charles (Chuck) Thomas Rauch

Not a day goes by that I don't think about the Chuckster. We're talking about trying to get the Stone Hill Band up and running again and just don't know we'll do it without our fearless leader. God Bless.

Thank you everyone who has left heart warming stories of my Dad. It means so much to our family right now. As we get through Covid times and keeping my mom healthy we will have a celebration of life for him. We hope to do this in the summer or fall. I will update as much social media at that time that I can. Thank you again!

I met Chuck at TX72 (not TX14 for those who know). He was a most talented quiet, focused manager and mentor. His even keel approach to design, development, HR was one to be inspired by. I have the funniest memory of a trip with did to secure paging in china. 30+ hours to get to Beijing (DFW, LA, Vancouver, SFO, Seoul, Beijing) with Kimchee for breakfast and the Chicago Bulls on TV in a snowstorm of bad pixels. Brilliant time from someone I admired and admire. My most condolences to Sandy and the rest of the Rauch family.

Sorry to hear the sad news. Chuck was my manager at Motorola for a period of time where I learned a lot from him. My condolences for a really great guy to work for.

I met Chuck in 1990 at Motorola and followed him in paging, GSM and ASTRO25 businesses throughout my 20yr career there. Chuck was my mentor and a wonderful friend. Chuck touched so many lives at work, its hard to describe his impact at Motorola. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to Sandy and the rest of the Rauch family.

I met Chuck in 1994 when I joined Motorola. He and I worked together for 13 years as peers. We worked for 6 different bosses over that period. His career deservedly blossomed after GSM. We shared many long flights and drinks along the way to Asia. We ate really weird food in China, we were on a first name basis with the Admirals Club “desk” ladies in Japan (who always upgraded us to First Class back to Dallas before AA got gates in China). We ate disgusting durian in Singapore, drank way to much Moutai in China, enjoyed the “baseball filet mignon cut with lobster” at Dallas Del Frisco’s with Paging customers and had each other’s back. We indeed helped each other but I definitely got the better end of the bargain. He was my “best friend” at Motorola. We both had three sons and shared the challenges and joys. I’m proud to say Chuck was my friend and very proud to have worked with him and to have known the love of his life, Sandy.

Sandy: I heard rumors of Chuck’s passing about a week ago but was unable to confirm it until I saw this obituary. Your Christmas card/letter from him was postmarked on December 18th and everything sounded fine so we were quite shocked. We are DEEPLY sorry for your loss and you, Steve, Matt and Kevin have our deepest sympathy. I hope you know how much Chuck and you always meant to me.
