Charley “Buddy” Floyd Johnson

Charley “Buddy” Floyd Johnson died peacefully on November 20, 2020 in Weatherford, TX. following a valiant fight against Pancreatic Cancer.  From birth until his death, Buddy encouraged the people around him.  He was strong and spirited with generosity and mercy for all.  He never met a stranger and made deep and lasting friendships that he cherished all his days.  He stood tall and firm with dignity and continuous inspiration till he drew his last breath.

Buddy was 55 years old and cherished his only daughter, ShaNell Johnson Harbin.    His grandchildren, Brynlee and Nolyn Harbin were his pride and joy.  The son of Walter “Chop” and Selma Johnson, he was a man of faith and noble character. The older brother of Stephanie Johnson Duran and uncle of Garrett Johnson and Kendall Maxwell, he entwined a love for family and friends. His aunts and cousins will never forget the smile and love of their beloved nephew and cousin.

Buddy grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Castleberry High School in 1983.  He had many accomplishments as a young child and teenager. A salesman for Sysco Foods for 15 years, he received many awards for salesman of the year.  Buddy always met the trials before him head on with strength and courage.  Known to many as Little Buddy and My Buddy, he has left a special place in our hearts and his fighting spirit will not be forgotten.  May his courageous spirit continue to shine through all who knew him.
