Granbury – Chris Wrinkle, age 55, passed away, peacefully in his sleep, at his home in Granbury, Texas, June 21, 2018. At his request there will be no service.
Chris was born September 9, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated Azle High School in 1980. He played the saxophone in the high school marching and jazz bands where he earned a college scholarship to San Angelo State University. He also excelled as a member of the FFA and enjoyed showing his livestock. Money earned from the sale of his livestock was also used for college expenses. After college he joined the Air Force where he was stationed in England as well as bases in the US. He was a veteran of the Gulf War serving in all three phases of the war. After returning home he worked in the building supply business before becoming totally disabled.
He was a Christian from an early age. He was a hard worker, had an enduring personality, and made friends easily. He loved dogs and cats and had a huge interest in all kinds of sports especially the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. He also liked going to the horse races when he was physically able. He was very brave, suffering from constant pain for many years. He relied on the Veterans Administration for health and other services and they were always there for him.
Survivors: Parents, Tuffy and Nancy Wrinkle, of Granbury; daughter, Andie Wrinkle, of Lubbock; sister, Julie Treat, of Frisco; brother-in-law, Mike Treat and niece Lilly Treat.
