Coach Martin never actually taught me in a class, but he was my homeroom teacher and he was a tremendous influence on my in High School at Tascosa HS in Amarillo in the early 70's. He was a great, great guy and we became friends. He moved on to Vega and I lost track of him. Sounds like he helped other kids just like he impacted me. Rest in peace my friend.

Pike & Paige, I am so sorry for your loss! I only have fond memories of your dad as our principal at Vega. He was a fine man & always with a smile. I know you all will miss him terribly. I’m sure he & dad will play a round or two of golf up in Heaven! Prayers are with you all.
