Dalvin L. “Buster” Edwards, 90, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 in Granbury. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home. Interment: Brooks Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: Cottonwood Baptist Church or charity of choice.
Buster was born October 24, 1927 in Wingate, Texas to George L. Edwards and Vada E. Drake Edwards. He married Jean Wann on July 3, 1948 in Tolar. Buster was a life-long resident of Paluxy, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a twenty-four year employee of Bell Helicopter in addition to being a cattle rancher. Buster enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Jean and fellow senior citizens all over the United States. He particularly enjoyed western movies and old time Country & Western and Southern Gospel music. Buster was a faithful member of Cottonwood Baptist Church outside of Glen Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vada; sons, Dwayne Edwards and Benny Edwards; grandson, Dustin Swaim; a sister and a brother. Survivors include his wife Jean Edwards; daughters, Rita Rudolph, and Donna Morgan and husband, Danny; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and brother, Donald Edwards and wife, Johnna.
