Dan Boyd, 83, of Granbury, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Memorial service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury.
Dan was born on April 28, 1936 in Anson, Texas to Joe and Jennie Boyd. He married Martha Smith on July 7, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Dan was a successful entrepreneur; along with his brother he owned Boyd Lumber and Concrete. He also owned Boyd Construction in Houston from 1971 until 1980, and Boyd Adjusting Company Inc from 1963-2002. In 2002, he and his wife Martha opened Boyd Enterprises here in Granbury and he retired from there when he was 81.
Dan loved spending time outdoors, especially if he was hunting or fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a nephew.
Dan is survived by his wife: Martha Boyd, children: Angela Boyd and Shelly Bartlett, grandchildren: Ashli Denton and husband Robbie, Blake Watson, Rylee Sparks and Kymisha Bartlett, and great-grandchildren: Rylan Haskell Stanko and Aisley Grace Stanko.
He will be greatly missed.
