Daniel Hickey

Daniel Edward Hickey, 65, passed away Sunday, Mar. 29, 2015, in Glen Rose.
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, Apr. 3, 2015, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Daniel was born Dec. 11, 1949, in Bloomington, Ind., to James A. Hickey and Carol Neva Rarig Hickey. He married Molly Timmerman, Oct. 19, 1991, in Glen Rose. He had lived in Glen Rose since 1985. Daniel was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at University of Stephen F. Austin and served on the police department in Paris, Texas. He enjoyed his Mustangs, hunting, fishing, woodworking and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John Eric Beatty in 1985.
Survivors: Wife, Molly Hickey of Glen Rose; son, Joshua Beatty of McKinney; grandchildren, Tyler Beatty, Aiden Beatty; brothers, Steven Hickey and wife, Nancy, of Tyler, Jeff Hickey and wife, Annette, of Evanston, Ill., Robert Hickey and wife, Pam, of Sun Prairie, Wisc.; several nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
