GLEN ROSE — Daniel Ray “Danny” Butler, 66, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in Glen Rose.
Visitation: 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: The family asks for memorials to be sent to St.Jude Hospital.
Funeral: 10:00 am, Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Rainbow Baptist Church. Burial: Rock Creek Cemetery in Somervell County.
Danny was born in Fort Worth on July 19, 1947 to Bill and Opal Read Butler. He was a member of the Cedar Point Baptist Church in Erath County.
Danny was the owner and operator of Dinosaur Valley Construction Company. He want to several different states building jails.
He also owned Danny Butler Enterprises in which he built homes.
Survivors: Wife, Barbara Butler of Glen Rose; son, Bodie Butler and wife, Elizabeth of Carbon, TX; grandchildren, Brandon and Baker Butler; sister, Martha Ohlund and husband, Charlie of Glasgow, Kentucky ;Step-Children,Michael, Dwain, Michele, Tonya, Rachel and Eric; numerous step-grandchildren; Nieces; Melinda and Jennifer and their children; uncle, Julian Read and numerous cousins.
