David Carl Swandt, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 16, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 at First Baptist Church in Azle. A memorial service will also be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday March 28, 2015 at Hartford Assembly of God Church, 3170 Co. Rd. K in Hartford, Wisconsin. Rev. Ben Stratton will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 P.M. until service time prior to the service in Wisconsin.
David Carl Swandt was born in Fond du lac, Wisconsin and lived in Hartford, Wisconsin for his growing up years with his parents, Norma and Carl Swandt. David married the love of his life, JoAnn M. Pollnow on July 27, 1963 and they had four children.
David and JoAnn lived in the Holy Hill area and David worked in car sales for 40 years and retired from Doll Pontiac in Hartford in 2006. That same year they moved from Wisconsin to Azle, Texas to be near their children and grandchildren who were the joy in their lives. David was a member of First Baptist Church in Azle where he led the prayer ministry for the Seniors.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Norma and Carl Swandt; his biological mother, Valeria Behnke; brother, James Behnke and brother-in-law, John Pollnow.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, JoAnn; his children, David J. and wife Joanne of Round Rock, Texas, Brett W. and wife Amy of Keller, Texas, Chad C. and wife Marla of Keller, Texas, Tiffany Grennell and husband Matthew of Denton, Texas; he was the most precious Grandpa to David Jr., Joshua, Rebecca, Molly, Bailey, Jonah, Mark, Zechariah, Madeline, Emily and Alli; sister, Marjorie Sass; brother, Richard Behnke and wife Linda of Fond du lac, Wisconsin; 2 brother-in-laws, Gene Pollnow and wife Deanna, Dale Pollnow and wife Jennifer both of Hartford, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Esther Pollnow of Watertown, Wisconsin; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
