David Edd Moore, 75, found his forever home in Glen Rose, Texas. He passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Live Oak, Texas.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1 P.M., on Monday, April 11, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Glen Rose, Texas, with Pastor Rick Lineburger officiating.
David was born on September 25, 1946, in Hollis, Oklahoma and adopted by his parents Lee and Maddie Moore. He was a graduate of Texas Tech where he worked his way through college. A devout Christian, he was a member of The First Baptist Church of Glen Rose. He enjoyed reading, especially his bible, gardening, watching movies, and when young playing in his band – The Cavaliers. David married Tracy Holden on December 24, 2015. He always put “everything into all he did” and he “never met a stranger, laughter was his spice of life.” David will be affectionately remembered for his unique sense of humor – his “Davidisoms” and for his corny jokes.
David is survived by his wife, Tracy Moore; his children, Sean Moore and wife Jennye; Jenny, husband Jason Parten; Robert, wife Wendy; Michael Holden; his grandchildren, Cambryn, and Sutton Moore, Christian Sweeton; and by his sisters, Anita Brown and Judy Speck.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Al Spec.
