David Edward Kelly, 80, of Granbury, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Burleson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice, C100 Western Place, Suite 105, Fort Worth, TX 76107.

David was born November 17, 1937 in Fort Worth to Jack Hugh and Mary Opal Davis Kelly. He worked for Anadite for 20 plus years. He enjoyed fishing, trotlining and camping. He was a mechanic and tinkered with old cars.

David was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny Ray Kelly; and brother, James Olen Wood.

Survivors: Wife, Peggy Vernell Kelly; children, Mary Kelly, Teresa Lanche and David Kelly II; six grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Bennie Earl Wood and wife Linda; numerous nieces and nephews.

Our father was a kind, caring, generous, and loving man. He provided for all our needs, without complaint. He thought us to be good Christian people, how to be fishermen, how to be kind and fair to all. I will miss you Daddy, but have wonderful memories to cherish. You are at peace now.
