David Hancock, 47, passed peacefully in his sleep on November 28th, 2021.
A Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at Biggers Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
A private family burial will be held later at Azleland Memorial Park in Azle.
The family respectfully request that memorials be made in David’s name to the Center for Animal Research and Education (C.A.R.E.- carerescuetexas.com) in Bridgeport or to your favorite charity.
David was born on June 6th, 1974, in Fort Worth to his parents Loyd and Shirley Hancock. David married the love of his life Samatha Donth in April of 2000.
David attended Azle schools and graduated from Azle High School in 1992. In high school, David excelled not only in his studies, but also in football, his passion at the time. David attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville for a short time after high school.
During David’s career, he worked for multiple electric supply businesses and most recently was a quotations manager for Wholesale Electric Supply in Weatherford.
From the start, many considered David a close friend or even family. Whether they were high school friends, co-workers, his Call-of-Duty buddies (as David would word them), or the Center for Animal Research and Education (C.A.R.E.) organization, volunteers and visitors, they were drawn to David by his charms, humor, and kindness.
David was never shy in sharing his passions and could go on for hours to anybody who would listen, whether about Star Wars, big cats, or his family.
David will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. David was a caring husband and father, a loving son and brother, and a supportive friend. David will never be forgotten.
David was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Hancock; his grandparents, Millard and Juanita Hancock and A. N. and Sue McAllister.
David is survived by his wife, Samantha; his sons, Ross, Bazil, Gabe, and David Jr.; his father, Loyd Hancock and his partner, Margaret Maggard of Azle; brothers; John and his wife, Lori of Bridgeport and Matt and his wife, Monica of Azle and numerous nieces and nephews.
