Memorial Service

David W. Brooks of Granbury died on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the age of 80. A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Granbury on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 4 p.m.
He was the son of Fidelia and Clifton Brooks and grew up in Hiram, Ohio. He graduated from Hiram College with a Bachelor of Science and from USC with a Master of Science in Education degree. He taught school for 6 years before joining the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, where he worked for 30 years until his retirement in 1998. He was also an Adjunct Professor of Mountain View College.
He married Inga Brooks in Hamburg, Germany on December 23, 1961. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Clifton Brooks. He is survived by his wife, their son, Kenneth and his only grandson, Joshua, his brother, Dick and wife, Barb, brother, Don and wife, Gisela, sister-in-law, Elke Stoffers and nieces and nephews both here and in Germany.
Memorials in David’s honor may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
