GRANBURY — Dennis “Phillip” Gudat, 76, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at his home in Granbury, Texas.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Rosary: 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church Building Fund.
Phillip was born on March 23, 1939, to Dennis J. Gudat and Mary Kate Dawn in Fort Worth, Texas. Phillip proudly served his county in the U. S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He moved to Granbury in 1965 and married Donna Taylor on May 27, 1995. Before retirement Phillip worked at SPM in the manufacturing industry.
He enjoyed wine making, working around the farm, bees, fishing, hunting and his church where he worked with Grief Support.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sylvia Peavey.
Survivors: wife, Donna Gudat, of Granbury; son, James Gudat and partner, Tony Trevino, of Dallas; daughters, Julie Seaman and Brian, of Granbury, and Jana Gudat Cleveland, of Lipan; step-children, Michelle Christian and Steven, of Houston, Andre Landry and Melanee, of Carrollton and David Landry, of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Gudat & Jo, of Weatherford, Michael Gudat and Debbie, of Dallas and Daniel Gudat and Toni, of Cleburne; sister, Mary Kay Scott, of Fort Worth, several nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Emily Ford, of Granbury.
